Healing:

•  Week 1 - Fresh: Swelling, redness, soreness and bleeding is totally normal. 
•  Week 2/3 - Healing: Yellow 'crusties' form, do not pick at them and do not touch. 
• Week 4/8 - Downsize time! Very important to stop by to see if we can shorten your jewelry.    
•  Week 8/12 - Matured: Redness should be nearly gone. Keep cleaning the piercing.  

 Oral Piercings: 

•  Use alcohol-free mouth wash twice daily after eating and smoking. Rinse with water between meals. 
•  Swelling is normal for 2 weeks. 
•  Downsize in 2 weeks. 
•  Eat soft foods and cold drinks during healing. 

 Facial/Cartilage/Torso Piercings:  

•  Spray 2-3x daily with Sterile saline spray. Dry with the cool setting of a blow dryer after cleaning/showering. 
•  Do not touch, twist or pick at your jewelry.   
•  Avoid chlorinated waters for the first month.  
•  Do not sleep on your piercing.  
•  Downsize in 1-2 months. 

•  Sleeping on, bumping, or constant movement will slow healing and may cause bumps to form. 
•  Hot Chamomile tea bag compresses reduce bumps and increase blood flow. 
•  Using alcohol wipes, Betadine, Peroxide, or any harsh products will harm your piercing.  
•  Downsizing your jewelry after 1-2 months is key to healing. If the jewelry is left long after the initial swelling subsides snagging and migration is a higher possibility.
